One of the Famous teas of China, this is a “Rock” or “Cliff” tea from the Wuyi Shan Cliffs in Fujian. This oolong, also commonly known as Big or Royal Red Robe, is as oxidized as oolongs get. The leaves are dark, almost black, twisted and larger than most teas. In the cup, it provides a dark amber liquor with a wonderful, richly sweet and smokey aroma and taste with a hint of Osmanthus.
